Netflix gets festive with Jingle Jangle and more!

Halloween is over, which means it’s officially holiday season! (At least according to Mariah Carey.) As we settle into autumn, Netflix is ready to get you and the whole family into the Christmas spirit. Next week, on November 13, the streaming service is set to drop its most merry musical adventure. “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” boasts a star-studded cast (Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key, Ricky Martin) and original songs from our favs John Legend and Usher

“The beautiful thing about music is that it’s the universal language,” David E. Talbert says, who wrote and directed the movie. “It’s what brings us together and lowers the walls between us.”

The movie follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle who finds support from his innovative granddaughter when Jangle’s former apprentice steals his most prized creation. Watch the trailer below to take a look at all the magic!

The fun doesn’t stop there. For your little bookworms, the Jingle Jangle tale will also be available as two children’s books starting December 1. Picture book “The Square Root of Possible: A Jingle Jangle Story” (ages 4-8) dives into Journey meeting her grandfather, Jeronicus Jangle, for the first time. Realizing his magic for equations and problem solving is gone, Journey sets out to find her grandfather’s joy. In “Jingle Jangle: The Invention of Jeronicus Jangle” (ages 8-12), Jeronicus and Journey must construct a magical invention in time for the holidays, which could change their lives forever. The stories are published by Penguin Random House and will be available from most places you find books.

The festive family fun continues at Netflix with a string of new releases. Check out their forthcoming lineup below to add to your holiday watch list.
