The Dragon splash-lands
SpaceX completed its first operational flight on Sunday with a touchscreen ferry ship when four astronauts returned to Earth from the International Space Station in the Dragon capsule. This was a predawn splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, and it was only the third nighttime splashdown in space history and the first in 45 years. Moreover, it was only the second piloted water landing for NASA’s post-shuttle commercial crew program. West Bengal and Kerala witnessed resounding wins for the opposing All India Trinamul Congress (led by Mamata Banerjee) and the Communist LDF (led by Pinarayi Vijayan), respectively.
